Clos de los Siete vineyards are located at the foot of the Andes mountain range in Argentina. This iconic red is made in a modern style by the famed French wine consultant, Michel Rolland, who is part owner of Clos de los Siete.
This showcases the Malbec variety blend, with 54% Malbec, 18% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, delighting with its delicious, complex bouquet.
During the harvest, favourable conditions ensured good levels of sugar and concentrated acidity in the grapes, resulting in lovely, well-balanced fruit. This vintage shows great freshness and lovely concentration, signalling exceptional ageing potential.
The bluish hue suggests an exotic, seductive wine, simply impossible to resist, reminiscent of dense, dark berries, with notes of chocolate, spice and an intense fresh fruity aroma. On the palate, the wine astounds with its elegant, rounded tannins and fleshy character, underpinned by lovely acidity. Intense aromas on the long, appealing finish lean more towards spice than fruit and reflect the Cabernet Franc content in the blend.
